Never met an Everton fan that had time for us. I don't think about them much unless we're playing them either.
As for Liverpool, well my wife's a Scouser so I'm up there a fair bit as I was for our win against them recently and they really do seem to take a liking to us. I personally can't stand LFC, but going out in the city centre after the game I was showered with 'well done lad', 'I like West Ham, proper team, proper supporters' etc...
Fair play I say.

As much as I hate scousers they are similar to cockneys in certain respects; they place value on being a bit larger than life, humourus, strong identity and anti authority, both tend to be cheeky chippy types (sorry I can't explain that very well but I'm not a sociology student)
My nan was a land girl in the war and she says the scousers and cockneys got on really well.

I know an Everton fan who is 29 and gets in as a junior. He just makes sure he's clean shaven and crouches slightly when he goes through the turnstile - gets away with it every time. When I asked him why he does it he just shrugged and said "scouser".

They do hate chelsea. I watched the game on saturday in a pub on slater street in the town centre. They were cheering on southampton like no-one's business.
Its definite that they like us because we've been seen as harmless for years, but there is also an appreciation of the dock connection.
